"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art in knowing which ones to keep."
-Scott Adams
As mini me said, I am a Visual Communication Design major and Studio Art minor. I'm graduating from Western Oregon University in the Spring of 2017. While I'm not in the computer lab I'm playing rugby with my team and playing with my dog Loki.
I’m fascinated by stories about people’s lives, so much of my work deals with my own personal history. Whether it means my travel history, my crazy rugby stories, or the shenanigans I experienced growing up. I want people to find themselves in my work by connecting with my life. I strive to be as emotionally vulnerable in my work as I am in my life. Art has always been an anchor for me, and drawing is something I’ve always been good at. So Design was an easy transition for me. Starting on paper enables me to draw out my designs and experiment before moving onto the computer. This way I feel attached to the work and I can become experimental with my designs.
